Definition: Methylphenidate, sold under the brand names Ritalin ( RIT-ə-lin) and Concerta ( kən-SUR-tə) among others, is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.
