Definition: Vorinostat (rINN), also known as suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (suberoyl+anilide+hydroxamic acid abbreviated as SAHA), is a member of a larger class of compounds that inhibit histone deacetylases (HDAC). Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDI) have a broad spectrum of epigenetic activities.
