Definition: Macimorelin (INN) – or Macrilen (trade name) – is a drug that was developed by Aeterna Zentaris for use in the diagnosis of adult growth hormone deficiency. Macimorelin acetate, the salt formulation, is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue receptor agonist.
